Overview
These storyboards showcase the various styles I have used in creating my eLearning projects. I have used storyboards that were given to me, as well as storyboards that I created that work well for my design process. I first create a rough script and then break it down into slides and scenes. I then go back and continue to edit the script within the storyboard as I add additional details of how I envision the flow of the module before I go into the development phase.
Articulate Storyline – Visual Storyboard
This detailed storyboard includes a prototype image of what the final slide may look like. This was a storyboard required of the project, that I was able to easily adapt to and added the narration, animation, graphics, and navigation notes. This storyboard was then approved from the stakeholders before development.
Articulate Storyline – Text Storyboard
This storyboard was also for a Storyline project, but did not include any images. It did include the on-screen text, any narration and audio effects, as well as the image, interactions, navigation, and media notes.
Vyond – Visual Storyboard
This storyboard was created for a recent Vyond project. I was given the voiceover and needed to create the animations to accompany it. I first broke down the script into scenes and created an image in Vyond of how I imagined each scene. I added how I wanted the scene transitions, character expressions, actions, props, sound effects, and on-screen text to flow in each scene. Finally, I got approval from the stakeholders from this storyboard before I developed the animation in Vyond.
Camtasia – Text Storyboard
This straightforward storyboard helped to guide me in creating a video-based eLearning regarding the use of a new app. I first created the script and broke it into sections for the storyboard. I then recorded the audio and had it playing while I recorded my screen following this storyboard.
