Challenge

Supervisors were struggling to communicate with their Spanish-speaking employees. They did not need to be fluent in Spanish, but they did need certain phrases.

Solution

This 4-page job aid was created for supervisors to communicate the most important words, phrases, and questions they ask their Spanish-speaking employees on the factory floor. The job aid consists of an English vocabulary column, Spanish vocabulary column, and Spanish pronunciation column.

Results

The resulting 4-page Pronto Guide was given to the Supervisors for reference after their Spanish class. It is now also available on the Pronto Spanish website.

My process

01

Plan

Learners needed a Quick Study Guide that included all of the vocabulary words in the course. Approximately 500 words were needed to be presented in a format that learners could refer to on a regular basis.

02

Design

I designed the Pronto Guide in a 4-page format, which was further broken down into columns. The vocabulary was separated by categories to find related phrases.

03

Develop

The final Pronto Guide was developed in Adobe InDesign using brand colors and fonts. The Guide was printed on heavy cardstock for easy portability.
