LearnDash LMS

Overview

Development Time

I built the LearnDash LMS/eCommerce site starting in April 2020. This project was completed in June 2020.

Responsibilities

Complete Website, eCommerce, and LMS development

Tools Used

  • WordPress 40% 40%
  • LearnDash LMS 30% 30%
  • WooCommerce 15% 15%
  • Uncanny Owl Groups 10% 10%
  • Tin Canny Reporting 5% 5%

Challenge

Pronto Spanish had 14 courses that were being distributed through 3rd party vendors. They wanted to be able to sell the courses themselves, as well as be able to track student progress.

Solution

After much deliberation, I went with the LearnDash plugin to be able to completely customize the learner experience. I already had a WordPress site that I had built, so I was familiar with the tool.

Results

I created an LMS for Pronto Spanish that included additional plugins to further customize the tool the LearnDash LMS. I added WooCommerce for eCommerce functionality and Tin Canny to track xAPI in my Articulate courses. I also added the Uncanny Owl Groups plugin, that allowed me to create custom groups for companies to track their own students.
